Some Things About Helen
Helen Zeida - Director, Coach and Consultant
Helen is a qualified coach with a Health and Social Care background and a diverse range of experience from a lifetime of working with people with learning disabilities, mainly spent managing residential services in several areas around the country. Over the years, her itchy feet have led her to develop her work with people with disabilities in South Africa and South America.
Returning to the UK, through advocacy, training and consultancy work, she realised her greatest passion was to catalyse the potential in people. She blends a lifelong love of personal development with her strong belief in the power of person centred approaches and coaching to get the best out of staff teams; thereby enabling them to offer their best support to the people they serve.
Further training in Appreciative Inquiry, the Thinking Environment and NLP has helped her to bring more depth and effectiveness to creating positive and proactive change that sustains.
I have always loved using creative drama and outdoor activities to prove to people with learning disabilities and their supporters how brave, confident and adventurous they can be. As a trained coach in this area, I specialise in catalysing managers’ own self development and support them to stretch their team members. Now is the time to use the known power of coaching to its full effect to create the conditions to build truly person-centred teams and lives."

Helen Says:
"My past history of managing residential homes for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs gave me first hand experience and understanding of services and the challenges they face. Over the past few years training nationally and facilitating person centred projects across East Sussex I have developed a collaborative way of working alongside teams. Together, we create conditions and solutions that enable them to reach their potential and therefore offer the best possible support to the people they serve.I have always loved using creative drama and outdoor activities to prove to people with learning disabilities and their supporters how brave, confident and adventurous they can be.
